The third batch of Recruit Course 55 consisting of 525 Firemen and women who were on attachment in the regions successfully passed out from the Fire Academy and Training School (FATS).
The passing put ceremony was held on Friday, August 12, 2022 amidst a colourful parade which awed the audience.
The graceful parade showcased the trooping of the regimental band, display of foot drill movements in both slow and quick time which amazed the audience to their feet with thunderous applauses.
In addition to the usual firefighting, search and rescue simulations, there was a demonstration of how to use a portable fire blanket and portable extinguishers to douse small fires at homes and work places.
A sign language interpreter was for the first time, introduced into the display to further make the demonstration more appealing to persons with hearing impairment who were watching live at the venue or on Facebook.
The Physical Training Unit of FATS with some members of the Recruits also did not disappoint especially when they further thrilled the audience with gymnastic displays which turned the ceremony into a joyous one filled with glee and respect for the efforts of the Commandant and his team at FATS had put in training this batch of Recruit Course 55.
