Regarding the health walk organized in Kumasi in Alan Kyerematen’s honour by some people claiming to be his fans, the National Steering Committee of the New Patriotic Party has written to the prospective 2024 presidential candidate.
Other people have been written to for similar campaign actions, the party said in its statement.
According to the statement, the Trade Minister will be available to comment on concerns regarding the large march known as “Aduro Wo So” that was held in his honor in Kumasi, Ghana, on Sunday in violation of the party’s code of conduct.
“Subsequently, the attention of the National Steering Committee of the party was drawn to these instance during the Committee’s meeting on Monday, August 15, 2022. The Committee resolved that Hon. Ekow Vincent Assafuah and Mr. Hopeson Adorye be invited to appear before the National Complaints Committee as provided for in the party’s Code of Conduct.
“Additionally, under the instruction of the National Steering Committee, Mr. Alan Kyerematen has been written to in respect of the “Aduro Wo So Health Walk” that was organized in his name,” the General Secretary of the party, Justin Frimpong Kodua indicated in a statement date August 17, 2022.
