The first batch refresher course for Service drivers drawn from various Stations across the country concluded with a brief closing ceremony on Friday, August 19, 2022 at the Fire Academy and Training School (FATS).

DCFO Frances Rockson, Director Technical Services, who represented the Chief Fire Officer in a speech read on his behalf, urged drivers to be extra cautious on the road by following all road traffic regulations and making use of the safety accoutrements and knowledge acquired to reduce, if not prevent, crashes with fire engines.

The second batch of training will begin on Monday, August 22, 2022, and is expected to be very informative, with over 100 drivers chosen from all applicants.

In attendance at the closing ceremony were also the Director Human Resource and Training, DCFO Gifty Sarpong Mensah, Deputy Director of Transport, DO I Awaafo Adanka, Assistant Director of Human Resource and Training, DO I Sallah Patrick and some Senior Instructors of the Training School.
