Kwesi Botchwey Jnr, a communications team member for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), believes the new person appointed to replace Col [rtd] Kwadwo Damoah as Commissioner of Customs is more than capable.
Seidu Iddrisu Iddisah, the new acting Deputy Commissioner (Preventive), according to him, is the man who will transform customs.
Col (rtd) Damoah, the Commissioner of Customs at the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), has been relieved of his duties as Customs boss.
Seidu Iddrisu Iddisah, the acting Deputy Commissioner (Preventive), has been asked to take over his duties and office.
Iddrisu Iddisah will serve as Acting Commissioner of Customs Division until the President makes a substantive appointment.
He told Rainbowradioonline.com that the man has been with customs for a very long time, gaining a lot of experience and rising through the ranks over the years.
“I believe he has gained the necessary experience. He has worked for the Customs Division for many years, understands the job, is competent, and is a dedicated employee. Customs will be transformed by Hr. He’ll make huge strides, so let’s back him up,” he added.
