Former General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, has asked Johnson Asiedu Nketiah to rescind his decision to contest as National Chairman.
According to the Atta Mills Institute’s CEO, the man lacks the integrity to be elected as the NDC’s national chairman.
As a result, he has promised to release a slew of evidence to back up his claim that he lacks the integrity to be elected as Chairman and Leader of the NDC.
Mr. Anyidoho said he would not allow Mr. Nketiah to be elected as National Chairman because he is a ”skimmer”.
Speaking on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, he stated that he had resumed active politics to prevent Mr. Nketiah from contesting.
“As for this NDC, we will redeem it… The house cleaning exercise will begin with Asiedu Nketiah. He has completed his service and must now take a bow. However, he is running for the position of National Chairman. He’s joking, of course. He will never be the party’s National Chairman. I prophesy that Johnson Asiedu Nkeiah will never be elected National Chairman of the NDC.”
He will never be elected as National Chairman. Asiedu Nketiah is out because he is a skimmer.
When asked if he was supporting the incumbent Chairman Ofosu Ampofo, he said no and described him as a coward who has refused to be firm and failed to exercise his power as party’s chairman.
Koku Anyidoho said Ofosu Ampofo is aware that when in opposition, the party’s chairman is the leader in the absence of a presidential candidate.
“We saw chairpersons like Obed Asamoah, Kofi Porturphy, and the late Kwabena Agyei Agyapong, but when it came to Mr. Ampogo, he kept dragging his feet. He is a coward, and I want a third force to oppose the two of them. The party members are upset with him because they expected him to use his power as party chairman but he did not.”
He stated today that Asiedu Nketiah is going around telling party members that you [Ampofo] failed as a leader and that they should vote for him.
“Asiedu Nketiah is a skimmer who will never be elected as party chairman. I’m giving him some friendly advice. If he has finished his term as general secretary, he should take a bow because the day he chooses a form to0 contest, I will expose him. I will make public everything he said against John Dramani Mahama. I have kept all of the evidence until now. Asiedu Nketiah thought he would sell me as the evil one to John Mahama so that he could be seen as the good one, but he will be exposed.”
”He should go home after serving his position as general secretary. He shouldn’t attempt the chairmanship position. He would never be elected as chairman that the late Rawlings founded. He insulted the late Rawlings and described him as a dog.”
“People say I’m bitter, but I’m not.” The NDC must be rescued. As a result, we’re on a rescue mission. We are going to salvage the NDC and restore it to its dignity”.
