Six officers of Dr. Hilla Liman Technical University who benefited from double salary have been asked to refund the money they received.
The 2021 audit report has revealed the six officers were paid Market Premium from April to December 2021 in addition to the Single Interim Arrangement Factor, which replaced the Market Premium to the tune of Ghc97,108.11.
The audit report recommended that the officers refund the total amount of Ghc97,108.11 and any subsequent unearned Market Premium to the government chest.
The report also revealed that one Mr. Brendan Joseph was paid two months undue arrears for salary and other related allowance in respect of January and February 2021.
He has been asked to refund a total of Ghc10,545.12 to the chest of the government within 30 days after receipt of the management letter.
Eight (8) other staff of the University were granted study leave to pursue various programs at different universities either in Ghana or abroad and were paid underserved salary-related allowances of Ghc171`,008.85.
It was established that three staff were paid a total amount of Ghc69,406.19 as unearned salaries after separation from the University during the year.
The management was asked to recover the money from the staff 30 days after they had presented a management letter to the staff involved or recover it from the validating officers.
