“Painstaking investigations, financial crime dockets, are almost ready for the prosecution to begin in earnest.”

On Monday, September 5, 2022, he announced this during a speech at Cambridge University.

Meanwhile, the Minister claims that the Attorney-office General’s is prosecuting high-profile cases involving $850 million in financial loss.

According to Mr. Godfred Yeboah Dame, the cases include stealing, fraud, and other offences.

The goal of these prosecutions, he claims, is to hold public officials accountable.

“The Office of the Attorney-General is prosecuting other high-profile cases involving the offences of wilfully causing financial loss to the State, stealing, corruption, fraud, procurement breaches, and money laundering.”

“These cases have as their sole object, the principle of holding public officers to account and involve sums of over $850 million.”
