Former President John Dramani Mahama has described the passing of Queen Elizabeth II as sad.
Mr. Mahama in his short statement indicated that the Queen carried her duties with grace, poise and dignity.
He also described her as an icon of the Commonwealth of Nations.
He extended his condolences to King Charles and the royal family.
“Sad to hear the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
She carried her royal duties with grace, poise & dignity. An icon of pride not only to the British people but the Commonwealth.
Our hearts go out to King Charles III and the Royal Family. May God grant her peaceful repose.”
