President Akufo-Addo has expressed his readiness to support the Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame to prosecute Aisha Huang, the galamsey queen who was recently re-arrested.
President Akufo-Addo who was speaking at the annual conference of the Ghana Bar Association currently being held in Ho.
He told Ghanaians that Aisha Huang will be prosecuted for her illegal mining activities
“May I assure you of my full support to the Attorney General in his determination to prosecute Aisha Huang and her collaborators who apparently insist on flouting our laws against galamsey and illegal mining.”
Mr. Akufo-Addo further asked the court to apply the full rigour of amended Act 995 which has substantially increased punishment for persons who breach the laws of the land and are found guilty.
