A suspected battery thief beaten to death.

A young man who is accused of stealing car batteries has been beaten to death.

The young man is said to have gone on the stealing spree with other young men who managed to escape at Anoka in the Upper West Akim District of the Eastern Region.

According to Rainbow Radio’s Prince Collins Bening, who was present at the scene, the deceased and other accomplices were accused of stealing car batteries in the area.

He reported on Nyankonton Mu Nsem that the drivers in the area were always complaining about dead car batteries and that he did not spare the young man when he was caught.

According to new information, they died and the other three accomplices stole six batteries during their mission today.

He revealed that the angry mob that attacked the young man apprehended him after the other accomplices fled.

Kudjo, a local resident, has been identified as the deceased.

According to our reporter, he was attacked and his body was dumped along the roadside.

He stated that the body had been recovered and sent to the mortuary.
