A political analyst, William Owusu Ansah, has opined that there is no permanent position in the political space, nor is any political seat a personal property for anyone.
He was responding to the decision by Johnson Asiedu Nketiah to contest as National Chairman against the incumbent Samuel Ofosu Ampofo.
Speaking on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5fm, he explained that every qualified person could contest, and the decision by Mr. Nketiah to contest the chairmanship position is politically wise because he knows the nitty-gritty of the party.
To him, Mr. Nketiah could have identified some lapses at the national chairmanship position, which he seeks to correct hence his decision to contest.
He said that several people are dissatisfied with Samuel Ofosu Ampofo’s work and want him to leave.
“I can confidently state that Johnson Asiedu Nketiah was advised by the party’s top hierarchy to run for the national chairmanship.”
He also predicted several persons including Joshua Hamidu Akamba, the National Organizer and Pablo, the Youth Organizer would lose their positions should they seek re-election.
