The Seventh Day Adventist Basic School at Brodi, a farming community within the Bono region, has been closed down over a ritual activity on its compound.
The school’s administration stated that the school was closed due to fear expressed by students, parents, and teachers.
According to Kwabena Dukum, a member of the School Management Committee, the situation was unfortunate, and it is unclear why it was done.
He claimed that attempts to get the person responsible to respond to the issue were futile.
According to him, the individual claims to be the owner of the community and would not answer to anyone.
Meanwhile, he stated on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that the various pastors in the school have urged management to resume operations.
He noted that efforts were being made to gather parents, students, and teachers for a prayer meeting.
