The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central has admitted that the country is facing economic challenges and the best way to address the problem is for us to be collective in our approach to resolving them.
Mr. Patrick Yaw Boamah stated that we must all support the president in dealing with the problem instead of always lamenting.
“I admit that we are facing economic challenges. We need to restore confidence in the economy and stabilize our situation. Addressing the challenge should be collective. We have to help the president with every idea we have instead of always going out there lamenting.”
Mr. Patrick Yaw Boamah went on to state that appointees of the government, civil servants as well as businesses responsible for raising revenue for the government should not compromise on their work.
“We should ask ourselves what we are doing that is depriving the state of its resources. You would be in an office and engaging in criminal activities. You would be in an office and instead of ensuring that you help the government generate revenue, you put these monies in your pockets. That is not patriotic. It is criminal.”
He made the remarks in an interview on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm.
