The President, Nana Akufo Addo, has commissioned a 60-bed hospital in Konongo, Ashanti’s Asante Akyem Central Municipality.
Euroget De-Invest, an Egyptian company, completed the project for more than 35 million US dollars.
The 60-bed capacity bed project is one of several projects being undertaken across the country by an Egyptian company, Euroget De-Invest.
The physical infrastructure, installations, equipment, and systems are housed on a 145 thousand square metre plot.
Equipment testing, surface and system cleaning, and some external work, such as decoration, have also been completed.
As a result, the 60-bed hospital is the sixth to be handed over by the company, which has been awarded a contract to build nine hospitals across the country.
The hospital will serve as a referral facility, relieving some of the pressure on Kumasi’s Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
