The Ghana Police has deployed personnel to provide security to ensure that members of the Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA) who have closed their shops or opened them are protected.
The exercise is led by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare.
He toured the Central Business District in Accra and some other parts of the capital where GUTA has closed their shops.
The Police said in a statement that “He’s currently meeting members of GUTA at Opera Square.”
