Coach Ibrahim Tanko insists that his team is ready for the Total Energies Africa Championship qualifying first-leg game in Mozambique.
The Black Meteors will travel to Maputo later today for the CAF U23 championship qualifier against Mozambique on Sunday.
Coach Ibrahim Tanko stated to the GFA’s Communications department prior to their trip: “ We started six weeks ago, and after three weeks, we have all the players on board. We are young, and we have the quality players, fast wingers who can rain to the spaces, so definitely we have all the ingredients from back to the striking force.”
“We are here with only the local players. We believe in them, we saw their strength and weaknesses, so we definitely are going to have a good team to start on Sunday. We are ready, and we are going to qualify.”
The game is scheduled for Sunday, October 23, 2022, at the Estadio Nacional Do Zimpeto in Mozambique.
