Sack Ofori-Atta or we’II not support gov’t business- Majority MPs

Some New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentarians have asked President Akufo-Addo to sack Ken Ofori-Atta as Finance Minister.

The MPs, numbering about 80, held a press conference on Tuesday to demand that the President to sack the Minister for managing the national purse or risk losing their support for government business in the House.

They also want the Minister of State in charge of Finance at the President’s Office to suffer a similar fate.

The MPs claim that their feelings are shared by the majority of NPP members in the House.
