Unknown assailants in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region killed and dumped a six-year-old boy behind the Sapato filling station at Fetteh Kakraba.
This brings the total number of people killed within a month to five.
A 58-year-old woman and another Nigerian national were killed a few days ago in the same Fetteh Kakraba community.
Lot Arthur, Assembly member for Buduburam- Fetteh Kakraba Electoral Area, says five people have been killed in his electoral area in the last month, which is concerning.
According to him, the Buduburam District Police Command has become handicapped due to a lack of patrol vehicles.
“We have been advocating for increased security in the area. When you file a complaint at the police station, they always complain about not having patrol vehicles.”
As a result, he urged the IGP, Dr. George Akuffo-Dampare, to mobilize more men in the area and assist officers in dealing with murder cases in order to reduce the rising crime rate.
