The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has written to the opposition People’s National Convention (PNC) urging it to resolve its leadership crisis or face permanent suspension.
The EC, in a letter, indicated that the party must resolve the internal wranglings, or it would engage them in any activity.
“I wish to inform you that, the Commission has decided to suspend all engagements with your Party until the leadership crisis is resolved,” a letter signed by a Deputy Chairman of the Commission, Samuel Tettey, said.
The letter came in response to the PNC’s National Chairman’s request that the Commission not supervise the alleged internal elections, as agreed in a roadmap made public in a statement by General Secretary Janet Asana Nabla.
