The National Premix Fuel Secretariat, in collaboration with the Donkorkrom Fire Station, provided basic fire safety training to Premix fuel operators from all nine (9) landing beaches in order to prepare them for fire outbreaks in their line of duty.
Participants were taken through topics such as fire safety precautionary measures, causes of fire, classes of fires with a focus on class B fires because that is the class of fire most likely to occur in their field of operation, modes of extinction, and types and uses of the fire extinguisher at the Kwahu Afram Plains South District Assembly-Tease.
Participants were also taken through how to extinguish fires at the incipient stage using a fire blanket and fire extinguisher.
In attendance was the Hon. Isaac Ofori Kɔree, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Kwahu Afram Plains North, Hon. Evans Kyei Ntiri, DCE for Kwahu Afram Plains South District, National Premix fuel Secretariat Officials and Eastern Regional Officials of National Petroleum Authority.
