NDC POLLS: Volta Regional Chair defeated

The Volta Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress Henry Ametefe has been defeated in the party’s regional polls.

He was defeated by Mawutor Agbavitor who polled 203 votes while Mr. Ametefe polled 130 votes.

James Gunu was reelected as the NDC’s Volta Regional Secretary after polling 456 votes, representing 78.9%.


Addressing the media, the First Vice Chairman-elect for the Region, Egypt Kudoto admonished party supporters to remain united so the party would be able to win the 2024 national polls.

He indicated that the members should not be complacent as they prepare for rye national elections.

Meanwhile, Alhassan Sandow Natogmah, the incumbent North East Regional Chairman was also defeated by Ibrahim Abdul-Rauf Tanko.
