Suspected armed robbers robbed Okada riders and passengers along the Adeiso-Obeng Yaw main road in the Eastern region over the weekend.
According to the report, the robbers fled with three brand-new motorcycles and other passengers’ belongings in an attempt to murder some of them.
One of the riders (name withheld) stated that the suspected robbers were armed with guns, matches, knives, and other offensive weapons.
According to him, robbers assaulted him and one ordered him to be shot.
He claimed he struggled with the robbers, which infuriated one of the robbers, who ordered his death.
Passengers with money and other valuables on them, according to the victim, were forced to hand them over.
He revealed that one of the suspected robbers stopped them on the way with a passenger, but he refused to stop.
Unbeknownst to him, another person was waiting along the way, and he and the passenger were dragged into a gutter.
He stated that they were tied and robbed.
“They were difficult for me. They said they wanted three motorcycles. Because I was struggling with them, one of them attempted to stab me in the neck so they could rob us. But he was halted. Another individual also threatened to shoot me “said.
