At Adrobaa on the Terchire main road in the Tano North Municipality of the Ahafo Region, a fatal accident involving schoolchildren occurred.
According to an eyewitness, Jewel, who witnessed the incident, the school bus somersaulted, resulting in the death of four schoolchildren.
He revealed that several others were seriously injured.
Those with serious injuries were taken to the Tye Komfo Anokye Hospital, he said.

It has also been revealed that the bus was only supposed to carry 25 passengers, but it was overcrowded with more than 50 children.

Meanwhile, the bus driver and one other child have died, bringing the total number of casualties to six.
He stated that the school’s administration had yet to respond to the situation.
On Tuesday, November 15, 2022, a mass burial would be held for the deceased children.
He bemoaned that the area’s road network is in disrepair and that residents had complained about it, but authorities had not addressed their concerns.
