The Member of Parliament for Builsa South has commended the management of the senior national team, the Black Stars, for their choice of fashion as their arrival uniform.
The lawmaker, filled with excitement, said the act defines our diversity as a nation and unity.
He commended Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the entire team.
Some fans of the senior national team, the Black Stars, took to social media to express their outrage over the team’s traditional smock attire in Qatar.
The Black Stars arrived in Qatar magnificently dressed in ‘fugu,’ a popular Ghanaian attire worn by the people of Ghana’s northern region.
In his reaction, the MP tweeted, ”I must commend very highly, the GFA, management of the Blackstars and the team, led by my Junior Uncle, Dede Ayew, for the decision to wear the smock (fugu), as their arrival uniform for the 2022 world cup. Our unity in diversity is what makes us Ghana! #GoBlackStars!”
