A political strategist Prince Owusu Ansah has slammed the ad-hoc committee that probed the motion of censure filed against Ken Ofori-Atta, the Finance Minister.
He stated that the committee failed in its role of interrogating the matter as it should have.
He said the committee took Ghanaians for granted and failed to treat the issues levelled against Ofori-Atta with the seriousness they deserved.
He was speaking with Kwabena Agyapong on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm.
“Seriously, the committee was joking with Ghanaians. The majority of the committee squandered the opportunity to question the minister. Some of them have called for his removal, but when he appeared before the committee, they did not question him.”
”You had to ask the Minister important questions. You had to ask the Minister of finance questions and questions about the economy. But look at the questions they asked. I was so disappointed in the majority and the questions they asked. The minority also played mere politics with the exercise.”
He stressed the committee failed to examine the minister and find out why his company was benefitting from the woes of Ghana adding, ”it would be a mere p[olitical gimmick and rhetoric. The finance minister has created the mess”.
