2021 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year, Diana Antwi Hamilton has announced the date for the 2023 edition of the annual musical concert ‘Awake Experience with Diana Hamilton’.
The musician in a recent interview with Sokoohemaa Kukua said the Accra edition would be held on February 6, 2023, at the Perez Dome.
The train would then move to Banatama in Kumasi on February 26, 2023.
The musician was optimistic that the 2023 edition would be an unforgettable night of God’s blessings.
The 2022 edition of ‘Awake Experience’ was held on Sunday, February 13, 2022.
The concert was hosted at the Perez Dome at Dzorwulu in Accra.
The 2022 Awake Experience concert in Accra featured seasoned gospel singers, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, KODA, and Nana Adwoa.
The concert started in the United Kingdom in 2016.
The musician started her music journey at the age of 14 while working as a backing vocalist for Francis Agyei.
She was featured on Francis Agyei’s ‘Metwere Obotan’ and other projects in the early 1990s.
Diana Hamilton worked with Zapp Mallet during the recording sessions and subsequently on her own album in 2007.
She released her first album, ‘Ɔsoro Bɛkasa’ in 2007 and went on to win the music industry’s biggest award 14 years later.
The professional trained and practicing nurse was adjudged the Most Streamed Female Act of the Year at the 2021 3Music Women’s Brunch.
