Kwabena Ahi, a young married man in his thirties, has allegedly beaten his wedded wife, Armah Patience, to death in Apente, a farming community in the western north region.
According to reports, the couple got into a fight, which resulted in the unfortunate incident.
Residents of the Apente community explained that the couple had a number of fights.
After learning that his wife had died, Ahi ingested a poisonous chemical suspected to be a weedicide in order to commit suicide. However, he was discovered helpless in the bushes and was taken to the Juaboso government hospital for treatment.
Sehwi Bodi police arrived on the scene, and the body of the deceased was taken to the Juaboso government hospital for further investigation.
The couple has two kids: a four-year-old boy and a one-year-old girl.
