A 30-year-old man is accused of murdering his wife in Dormaa East, Bono Region.
Yahaya, 30, a Fulani, and his wife Sophia were both residents of the area.
It is unclear what prompted the action, but residents in the area said they heard a gunshot and when they arrived, they found the farmer’s wife dead.
However, the man was nowhere to be found, and when the residents went looking for him, they discovered his body in a bush, where he is suspected of shooting himself.
According to Mohammed Abdul Razak, who reported the incident at the scene, the woman was discovered in a pool of blood with her intestines gushing out.
The police were notified, and the bodies were recovered and transported to the morgue.
