The Trobu constituency Member of Parliament has revealed that some people who were compensated after their property was demolished to make way for the Pokuase interchange are reselling their lands to other people.
Moses Anim, in an interview on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5fm, said the majority of affected residents had received their compensation.
The MP and Deputy Minister in charge of Fisheries stated that the current issue is the reselling of lands.
He called the situation unfortunate and asked those involved to stop.
“By and large, persons whose property has been affected by the construction of the Pokuase interchange and other auxiliary projects have been compensated.”
”What is shocking is that we have discovered that some persons who received compensation for the destruction of their property are selling their land to unsuspecting victims. This pure wickedness.”
