Former Legon Cities head coach, Bashieu Hayford, has revealed circumstances that led to him leaving the team.

The coach said he had promised not to talk about the incident, but when he was pushed further by Kwabena Agyapong, host of Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, he blamed Maxwell Konadu for masterminding his removal as a coach.

He claimed Maxwell Konadu manipulated his removal as a coach.

Bashiru told the host that several other coaches are fed up with Maxwell Konadu’s deception and manipulation.

The celebrated Ghanaian coach recounted the fame he played against Dwarfs, and while the match was being played, Maxwell Konadu was scouting.

He also claimed that before joining the team, Maxwell Konadu wanted me fired, but he was told that I would not be fired because he was only brought in to beef up the team.

He was insisting ”I will be sacked because he was a senior coach. I had planned not to talk about this issue, but I will tell you that people are peeved at him”.

He claimed Maxwell Konadu refused to work with him, so when the season was down to two matches, he [Hayford] went on leave, but while on leave, Maxwell Konadu made certain decisions without his knowledge.
