The chief of Mepom Berima Adjei Kumi III in the Upper West Akim District of the Eastern Region has appealed to the DCE Eugene Sackey and the government to fulfil its pledge to the community during the campaign period.
The chief says the community lacks behind when it comes to development.
The traditional lamented that pregnant women, children, and adults are treated in the same ward at the health facility in the community.
He described the situation as horrible and asked authorities to intervene.
He also bemoaned the community’s poor road network, saying it makes life difficult for residents.
He stated that the roads in the area are in poor condition and that motorists have difficulty navigating them.
Unemployment, he lamented, was also a major challenge as several young persons in the area are jobless.
He indicated the government must deliver on its promises and give them a fair share of the national cake.
