A psychologist Mr. Samuel Ziggah has opined that from a psychological point of view, Alex Opoku-Mensah, who allegedly insulted a nurse, did not train her daughter well.
The Ashanti Region Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS), Alex Opoku-Mensah, is scheduled to face a committee set up to investigate allegations of assault against him.
This comes in the wake of allegations that Mr Opoku-Mensah verbally assaulted a nurse after he had accused her of disrespecting her daughter, a medical doctor at the facility.
Mr. Ziggah stated that the man did not behave well, indicating that he failed to properly raise her daughter.
He premised his argument on the fact that the daughter is dependent on the father.
”In counselling, we have something referred to as an over-protected child. He has never protected the child, so the child depends on him. So anytime the child has an issue, the parents must go in and resolve the issue.”
”What the father did was childish, and there were better ways he could have addressed the issue.
”You cannot go to the hospital, and throw your weight about because you think you are a wealthy person or have a key position in Ghana. If your daughter is a doctor and so what? Is she God? ”
He is proposing that the man must be punished for his unlawful behaviour.
To him, ”the suspension is needless.
”He must be dismissed with immediate effect to serve as a deterrent to others.”
