Former Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, says he is currently the happiest man on earth.
He said the reason behind his happiness and joy is the outcome of the youth and women’s wing internal polls.
According to him, he is not happy because of the violence since it was unfortunate but rather happy at the outcome.
He stated attempts by some individuals from the camp of former President John Dramani Mahama to use the money to influence people from voting in a certain way failed to materialize.
”Attempts by some people to use the money to buy votes failed because ‘sika mpe dede’. The delegates took the money but still voted with their conscience,” he said.
He said it was shocking that money was shared like sand and attempted to buy votes when the party had complained that things were hard.
The will of the people was more powerful than any attempt to buy votes.
Mr. Anyidoho said the results of the youth and women’s wing of the elections for the NDC, the party to which I belong, shall belong and will always belong, our youth and women have spoken loudly.
He stated that despite the fact that the name of former President John Dramani Mahama was used to campaign against Pablo, he was retained as the NDC’s youth organiser.
