Former Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Bampoe has opined that Ghana’s economy has collapsed under President Akufo-Addo.
Speaking to journalists at the ongoing national delegates conference at the Accra Sports Stadium, she stated that Ghanaians are experiencing excruciating economic hardship due to the incompetence of the current government.
The lawyer said, “the economy has collapsed. Things are hard for the citizens. Ghanaians are struggling. Things are hard and the government is clueless”.
To her, the NPP has failed in managing the economy and any attempt to retain them in 2024 would be terrible.
She believes the NDC is the only party with the skills, competence and technical knowledge to restore confidence in Ghana’s economy.
She was hopeful at the end of the congress, the party will come out stronger and present a united front for victory in 2024.
She called on candidates to remain disciplined and allow the party’s interest to remain paramount.
Our Bampoe said “we are offering Ghanaians hope. We gave the experience. We are the only party to restore hope. The economy is in a mess. Corruption is very high. The levels of intolerance are high. Ghanaians should look up to the NDC”.
