Sustainable development analyst and political scientist Michael Ebo Amoah says the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will feel the absence of Johnson Asiedu Nketiah if he is unable to win the chairmanship race.
He said general mosquito as he is affectionately called is a master politician with several years of experience.
He posited that the NDC will feel his absence if he goes.
Michael Ebo Amoah told Kwabena Agyapong on Rainbow Radio’s special coverage of the NDC’s National delegates congress that the man is one with many years of experience.
He said the party needs a chairman who is strategic to ensure they win the 2024 polls.
Also, the party needs someone who can unite their front, he added.
“If the NDC loses Asiedu Nketiah, they will feel his absence. He has been there for the party. But remember that whatever he did for the party, it was because of his position as general secretary. On the hand, Ofosu Ampofo was able to bring NDC to power in 2008. At the end of the day, the delegates will decide.”
On the General Secretary position, he said Fiifi Kwetey could pull a surprise.
He said Peter Boamah Otokunor should have maintained his position as deputy general secretary of the NDC.
