Ras Mubarak, a former member of parliament for Kumbungu, has described Johnson Asiedu Nketiah as a man who speaks the truth, is fearless, and is firm.
For, by running for chairman, he has created opportunities for others to take over as chief scribe.
This is said to free him and allow him to work more effectively and freely in all parts of the country for the party to secure victory for the NDC.
He also described the race for chairman as an honor for Asiedu Nketiah, who had served as general secretary for 17 years.
Ras Mubarak stated that he supported Asiedu Nketiah because he is the most formidable personality capable of leading and mobilizing the party for victory.
He stated that the NPP is not a party that follows the rules because they do not believe in fair play, and that a courageous leader is required to match them.
He stated that the NDC cannot afford to disappoint Ghanaians because they are eager to see the NDC take power.
As a result, the party requires a courageous, fearless personality to lead it to victory.
He told Kwabena Agyapong on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm: “I am supporting General because he is courageous, fearless, and a man of integrity. As chair, he would be able to campaign for the party across the country. After 17 years as huh general secretary, he should be promoted and other younger people should take over as general secretary.
By running for the national chairman, he is making room for other young people to advance in the party.”
We have worked with the NPP and I can say they are dubious and cunning. And because of that, we need a chairman who is courageous to match them boot for boot. The NDC will do anything and everything to win power and we need people with the courage to match them about for boot.”
