Political analyst Michael Ebo Amoah says the victory of Johnson Asiedu Nketiah was obvious, but the margin with which he won was shocking.
Speaking to Kwabena Ayapong on Rainbow Radio 87.5Gm, he said right from the start, it became obvious, Asiedu Nketiah will topple Chairman Ampofo.

He said the party has proven that they love Asiedu Nketiah and his approach to party work and politics.
”I was shocked at the margin. But it also tells you that delegates are unpredictable. On the day of the election, the mind of a delegate could change.”
He said the NDC feels the 2024 election is a boot for boot and the demeanor of Chairman Ampofo is not what they needed. That is why they voted him out. Psychologically, the NDC thinks they would be at war in 2024, and Asiedu Nketiah represents that leader they needed”.
Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, was elected as chairman of the umbrella family at the party’s 10th national delegates congress over the weekend.
He polled 5,569 representing over 60 percent to win in a landslide victory.
He added that the majority of the new executives get along well with Asiedu Nketiah, so achieving victory in 2024 will be simple.
He said only George Opare Addo, the Youth Organizer, and Barbara Serwaa Asamoah, were rooting with Samuel Ofosu Ampofo.
