The Western Regional Fire Command has retrieved the lifeless body of a 38-year-old pregnant woman from a well behind the wall of Nab Gas Filling Station, around Essikado Roundabout in Sekondi.
The Service, in a press statement, said rescuers from the Sekondi Metro Fire Station were called in to retrieve the lifeless body of a 38-year-old pregnant woman from the well behind the wall of Nab Gas Filling Station after workers discovered it.
The statement disclosed that employees if the company change over, went to fetch water from the well and discovered the lifeless body in the well.
”The Rescuers brought out the lifeless body of the pregnant woman a few minutes after arriving at the scene and handed the body over to the Police who assessed the body before sending it to the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital morgue for preservation and investigation,” the statement said.
It added, ”It is not clear how the Pregnant woman who is known for fetching water from the said well regularly fell into it, as investigations continue to unravel the mystery behind the unfortunate incident”.
