Contrary to media reports that Cassandra Banda, the first wife of business mogul Alhaji Asuma Banda, has filed for divorce after nearly five decades of marriage, Madam Nyonkopa Daniels, the Founder of Peace Watch Ghana, has labelled the report as false.
Several media reports claimed that Cassandra Banda is asking for a settlement of approximately 60% of the assets and properties of the respected statesman.
But Madam Daniels, who is a close associate of the family, asked Ghanaians to treat the news as fake.
”These are evil lies manufactured by some people to achieve their evil deeds.”
According to her, the divorce issue arose in 2017, but it was resolved after the intervention of some individuals and prominent Ghanaians, including the National Chief Imam.
”Anyone who would make such claims is peddling lies. The wife has done a lot and would not file for divorce at this time. People should stop making these baseless claims, she said on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm”
