One person is reportedly dead following a chieftaincy dispute at Bomaa in the Ahafo Region.
Reports indicate that the dispute is over the installation of a chief in the area.
There is a heavy security presence in the town and the youth have been urged to exercise restraint.
The shooting occurred as a result of a feud between two families in town over who would succeed the town’s late chief.
Several other people were injured in the incident and were taken to nearby medical facilities for treatment.
