The Minister of Food and Agriculture, Dr Owusu Akoto Afriyie has officially resigned.
The Minister presented his resignation letter to President Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House, today, Tuesday, January 10, 2023.
Although the official reasons for his resignation have not been disclosed, it is believed, the Minister resigned to focus on his Presidential ambition.
He has expressed interest to lead the NPP into the 2024 election.
President Akufo-Addo who accepted the resignation wished him well in all his endeavours.
Dr Afriyie Akoto served as a Member of Parliament for the Kwadaso Constituency in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region for two terms.
