Leader and Founder of the Economic Fighters League Ernesto Yeboah say Ghana’s parliament is excessively partisan and not representing the interests of the citizens.
Mr. Yeboah said parliamentarians from both sides of the House engage in ‘scratch my back, I scratch your back’ deals without thinking about the people.
Speaking on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, he said the MPs are cutting deals among themselves.
“Our legislature is dominated by the NPP and the NDC. They are making deals between themselves. The most pressing issues confronting Ghanaians are not what they are concerned about. Despite Ghanaians’ protests, the E-Levy was passed. We expected things to be different after voting for them and receiving 137 votes on both sides. That, however, is not the case.”
He said this has exposed the parliament of Ghana as a house with greedy and selfish individuals who are interested in what they will benefit from and not what the country will gain.
