A 35-year-old Assistant Headmaster of Ekumfi Akra Methodist Basic School, who also serves as the Ghana National Association of Teachers Local Secretary in the Central region’s Ekumfi District, has been shot.
The Assistant Headmaster was reportedly shot while easing himself in a bush near their Teachers’ Bangalow.
According to reports, the bullet struck a tree before splitting open his left eye and hand.
It is suspected that the unknown gunmen attempted to kill the Assistant Headmaster but he was saved by the tree.
His colleagues heard the headmaster screaming from the bush and rushed to find him in a pool of blood, indicating he had been shot.
He allegedly canned a student prior to the incident, with many drawing parallels between the two.
