As a result, the Chief has proposed solutions to the problem.

According to him, the Traditional Authority would turn over men who sexually exploited minors to the police so that they could be prosecuted.

He claimed that even if a minor under the consensual sex age agrees to have sex, it is illegal and defilement, and that he would not entertain such criminal acts in the area.

He also pledged that the Authority would intensify campaigns to help minimize the rise in the cases of teenage pregnancy.

O her part, the Paramount Queen Mother for the Kwamankese Traditional Area, Nana Ekua Enyima III, disclosed that she initiated the distribution of sanitary pads to school girls in the area.

She said the campaign would also identify some basic needs of the school girls and make provisions for them since some men take advantage of that to sleep with them.
