President Akufo-Addo has intervened in the dismissal of the eight students of the Chiana Senior High School who insulted him.
Several individuals, organizations, and civil society groups as well as the Minority in parliament appealed to the president to intervene.
These individuals and groups described the insults as despicable but believed the dismissal was harsh.
The President has intervened in the matter, a statement issued by the Ministry of Education revealed.
In view of this, the Minister of Education Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has directed the Ghana Education Service to consider alternative disciplinary action against the students.
