The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced May 13, 2023, as the date for its presidential and parliamentary primaries.
The party said interested persons would have from Wednesday, January 18, 2023, to pick up nomination forms from the party’s website or its headquarters.
Filing of nominations will take place between Wednesday, February 22 to Friday, February 24.
The submission and filing of forms would also take place from Monday, March 20, 2023, to Wednesday, March 22, 2023.
Forms will be available for pickup on the party’s website from Monday, February 22nd to Sunday, February 24th, 2023 for a fee of GH5,000, and submission will be available from March 20 to March 22nd for a fee of GH40,000.
Following that, the aspirants will be vetted from March 27th to March 29th.
From the 22nd to the 24th of February, all interested individuals must pick up forms from the party’s headquarters.
The party’s doors will be open for form submissions from March 20th to March 22nd, 2023.
The presidential candidates will also be vetted from March 27th to March 29th.
The fee for picking up forms is GH30,000, while the filing fee is GH500,000.
However, the party has stated that women and people with disabilities will pay half of all fees if they choose to contest.
