The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ga West, Clement Wilkinson, has revealed that work on the Pokuase-Mayira road will begin next week.
The MCE disclosed this on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM while speaking with host Kwabena Agyapong.
“The Pokuase-Mayira road is one of the road projects I have struggled with,” said the MCE. There were several issues with it. There were lawsuits filed in connection with the project. The contractual agreement issue also slowed the project. But, to God’s glory, we’ve resolved all of these issues.
What I can say is that work on the Pokuase-Mayira and other nearby roads will begin next week. “Be assured that the project will begin,” he said.
He also served notice that anyone selling on the streets in the area rather than at the Amasaman market should stop.
He warned that anyone selling on the streets would be arrested and prosecuted in the coming days.
