Dr. Apaak, Member of Parliament for Builsa South Constituency, donated a set of delivery kits to the Kasiesa CHPS compound on February 14, 2023, to facilitate smooth health delivery in the area.
According to the assemblyman of the electoral area, this gesture has assisted the health facility in meeting the requirement of having a midwife posted to the facility as the population of the area continues to grow and necessitates the presence of a resident midwife.
Mr. Richard Kazi, the constituency secretary, who presented the items on behalf of the MP, stated that the MP has prioritised quality health delivery and will go out of his way every lent to ensure that quality health delivery reaches the people’s doorsteps.
According to the secretary, the MP was responsible for connecting the Kasiesa chips compound to the national grid.
Dr. Freeman Samani, District Health Director, thanked the MP for the prompt response and appreciated his kind gesture, saying he looked forward to collaborating with him for quality health delivery not only in Kasiesa chips but throughout the Builsa South District.
Dr. Freeman Samani went on to say that in order to achieve universal healthcare delivery, there should be a collaboration and concerted effort by all agencies, including the community, Ghana Health Service, and the government.
The newly assigned midwife to the facility promised to do her best to respond quickly when the need arose.
The facility’s health committee, Mr Ayipai Norbert, a senior health worker in the district, the midwife, the health director, and constituency secretary Richard Kazi were all present at the presentation.
