Sonnie Badu, a musician, and preacher has asked bloggers, media personalities, and Ghanaians, in general, to stop spreading photos and videos of Christian Atsu’s death.
In an interview with Rainbow Entertainment on Rainbow Radio 92.4Fm in the UK and Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm in the US, he stated that the children of the late footballer must be spared the traumatic experience.
To him, it would be pure evil and inhumane for bloggers to circulate or publish the images for the sake of viewership.
He stated that Atsu’s death is a sad day for Ghana. I saw the picture of how he died. I’m pleading with everyone to stop spreading it.
He went on to say that anyone who circulates these photos risks getting the same date and should stop.
“Everyone is pleading with me. I’m pleading with bloggers not to post Atsu’s picture online or on your websites in order to increase viewership. If you do that, you are wicked. The children have no right to witness this. If you do not want this to happen to you, do not share the photos and videos.”
He stated that we should instead be celebrating him and honoring his legacies.
