A businessman, Ernest Kwaku Kobeah, has picked his nomination forms to contest the presidential primaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2024 elections.
The UK-based-Ghanaian has arrived in the country to prepare for the primaries with an expectation to win the primaries.
Mr. Kobeah is confident he will win the election scheduled for May 13, 2023.
“I am here to stand and build the new Ghana; I am here for the present, not the future,” he told journalists.
Speaking to Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, he stated that while everyone is claiming that former President John Dramani Mahama will win the primaries, he will surprise everyone by coming out on top.
He expressed satisfaction with the process by the NDC ahead of the May 13 elections as perfect.
He also expressed surprise at the show of love from the party and how he was received when he went to the headquarters to pick up his nomination forms.
“The NDC is a democratically inclined party. We understand democracy, and the contest allows delegates to vote for their preferred candidate. I am confident that I will win. Ghana is in crisis, and the country requires a young, vibrant leader to transform it. My team and I are prepared to compete and win.”
